Durban Amusement Park

Team Park Project has developed a strategic redevelopment proposal for the Durban Amusement Park, a landmark project spanning approximately 20,000 m² on the iconic beachfront of Durban, South Africa.

Designed for year-round appeal, the master plan features a balanced mix of open-air zones and a dedicated indoor area. Drawing from our extensive experience at Luna Park in Coney Island, where TPP has been the lead designer since 2010, supporting the successful revitalization of the historic district—this new development serves as a major catalyst for urban renewal, boosting the coastal economy and bringing fresh tourism energy to the city.

Contemporary Design & Signature Rides

The architectural concept embraces a minimalist, contemporary design where vivid colors and elegant shapes form a living artwork. At night, a sophisticated, integrated LED lighting system illuminates the entire site, turning the structures into a luminous spectacle. The park features 13 major and family rides designed for all ages, anchored by a true signature attraction: the thrilling Lightning coaster by Zamperla, engineered to define the park’s skyline and thrill profile.
